of pasture, woods, ponds and mountains! The red
outline is the property, and the green one shows the 1,200 acres surrounding

The smaller of the two rectangular lots outlined in yellow, below the compass rose, is a 2.75 acre lot that I also own. The larger one just above it is the 7.25 acres and my home. County Rt. 30 is in the top right corner and about 4/10's of a mile from my home.
Two Bedrooms and 1 3/4 Baths The Kitchen Cabinets are Solid Maple and Countertops are Corian. The Stove and Microwave are Maytag and so are the Washer & Dryer. You'll also find a Stainless Steel Kenmore Elite Dishwasher under the Island which has 9 1/2" deep Corian Double Pot Sinks. The 16 cu' Refrigerator is hand made by Sunfrost and runs on 24 volt DC current, specially engineered for off-grid living.

There
are two, thousand gallon propane tanks, although I've never used the extra
one. In the winter when sunlight is shortest, throughout the day I run the generator about
an hour and a half which runs a 36" TV, a 20" IMac,
fax, printer, refrigerator, water pump, lights, and every few days, usually when the sun is shining, I'll run the dishwasher
or a load of clothes. The dryer heats with propane. I heat with the coal stove primarily, but the propane
furnace comes in handy too. The
location would support a wind generator but you would need a good sized tower as the house sits just below a ridge line.

The spring
fed pond also has a stream that runs through it year round which keeps
it cool and fresh. Another benefit is that it was dug almost straight down
(about 10 feet) which works to prevent unwanted vegetative growth. The pond has two docks, a tree fort and rope swing!
