Hello, my name is Lou Hall. I've been living in the woods on the NY / VT border for the past 19 years and totally "Off the Grid" for the last 13. I make all my own electricity with solar panels and a propane generator. My home is a half mile from the nearest paved road and about the only man-made sounds I hear throughout the day come from an occasional plane passing overhead, or a train whistle in the distance.
I have two grown sons, Brian & Lou Jr. whom both live on Martha’s Vineyard. The sea is heaven for many, but I'll take the purple mountains majesty any day. On most days, the mountain and valley views from my deck are nothing short of exhilarating and my cameras always get a good workout.
